The background was previously gessoed and has a nice texture to it. Two or three shades of acrylic paint were used in the background, blended with a babywipe. The ink was dropped onto the page and blown with a straw. I admit I had to help some of it into the right direction! After drying I added details with a black sharpie pen, trying to use the ink patterns to create bits of body and limbs. Fish and some underwater creatures were stenciled on and some doodling added.
