I have been really remiss in not adding anything to my Blog for a long time. All change now – hopefully! I have mainly been working in my Art Journal but there have been other bits and pieces going on too.
I have got back into doing a little stitching so watch this space!
I always like making dandelions but just discovered a new way, with a piece of chopped about sponge!

Dylusions blue paint applied with a babywipe for background. White sponge painted dandelions, white sharpie to add dots and seeds and some stems added with green acrylic. This was fun!
Not sure I should’ve bothered taking part in this one. The group is mainly textile students so they were not too impressed with this one methinks! Never mind, it was fun.
Used magazine pages on cardboard to build the A3 backing. Gessoed and then covered in dylusions paints, 3 greens and a yellow. Stenciling with more dylusions paint. Added torn pieces from my Composition pages – love making these! Finally added gold bubbles which I hated so I finger painted over with turquoise and them outlined lots of bits with a black brush pen. Result? Well I like it!!

It all started by glueing down bits of under paper that had lovely colours. Gradually it sort of evolved, more paint, gelatos, pen and voila! One strange looking page! But I love it!
What can I say about this? Maybe I will end up just covering the whole thing with gesso and do something different! Lots of different dylusions sprays and stencils. One thing that I did discover was that by drawing inside a stencil with big brush markers and then smudging I could make some cool circles – I love circles!!
Pretty much as it says although I used magazine pages rather than painted pages. Quite like the result…..
Finally have begun Cat Hands series of MMM’s. Must admit my first 2 attemps with the clingfilm were pretty much a disaster. The clingfilm stuck to the paint and I couldn’t seperate the film from the paper and ended up ripping the background off. Finally had another go with different clingfilm and thinner paint and yeh! it worked!
Spot the mistake where I picked up the flower punch instead of the corner punch!
More shapes torn from the Unwasted Paint Composition Book! Just got this superb Dina Wakely tourquoise paint so I just had to use it and the rest of the page evolved around it – I love circles!
Bits cut from my ‘Unwasted Paint Composition Book’ – an idea from Cat Hand to use up leftover paint. Shapes were cut from the page (the 2 at the top and 3 at the bottom) and glued on and the page sort of developed from there – goodness knows where the eyes came from!
Really, really not sure about this one. I found some gorgeous dark blue napkins with lovely geraniums and thought they would make a lovely page. Hmm, not me I’m thinking! Maybe the last minute white paint splatters helped a bit! Just all seemed a bit dark.
