Apparently it is going to get very wintery here in the UK so I made this page in anticipation!
Pieces of christmas wrapping paper glued down. Some stamping with acrylic paint. Gessoed over. Painted with Neocolor crayons. Gessoed again to soften the colours down. Some stenciling and stamping with archival inks and handwritten text. Snowflakes have been given a coat of wink of stella to make them glisten.
Journal 52 Week2. Prompt: What are you going to do more of this year?
As it says on the page, I am going to learn to use all the stuff I already have! I’ve never had much success with dylusions paints so this was a big learning curve. Also the little printing blocks were a new thing to me and getting them to print in the right place was a bit of a mission but all in all this was fun!
Dylusions paints (3 greens + white), stencilling with the same colours, journaling with a fude pen.
I joined Journal52 last year so this will be the second year I am trying to keep up with their weekly prompts. Haven’t quite finished last year yet!
This was the first time I have used acrylic glaze mixed with Paperartsy paints. Nice effect, makes it sort of shimmery.
Well all I could think of was Florida Keys – fabulous trip there this year and drew this whilst there.
